Sample Resignation Letter due to Heart Condition

Dear Ma’am,

This is to inform you that I will not be continuing to work with the company henceforth. Please excuse my sudden demand for resignation and accept this letter as my Month’s Notice.
I feel the need to clarify that my resignation has nothing to do with the company itself, and has everything to do with me. As you must be aware, I was hospitalized due to a sudden heart condition. I had a heart attack, and my doctor told me that it was definitely stress-related. I know that the company has been nothing but kind and accepting as far as my care has been concerned, but I am afraid it won’t be enough.
My doctor has requested that I take some time off and relax. He demands that I leave work because in his opinion it is too taxing for someone like me at the moment. I wish there was a way to continue working, because I see the company as an extension of myself, and now just an occupation, but my hands are tied.
If ever you need any help or information regarding the affairs of the company, please do not hesitate before reaching out to me.

Thank you.

Easy Resignation Letter due to Cancer

Dear Sir,

I hope you are well and in good health. As you know, I have been quite unwell for the past few weeks. I took some days off in order to recuperate, and I was confident that I would be relieved as soon as I had some rest, but it just so happens that fate had other ideas. I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
I was extremely shocked and upset regarding the matter, but as adamant that my life goes on so I continued to work.
After my recent test results, however, my doctor demands that I take a rest. He says that he thinks I should be spending time at home and resting up before I go in for my surgery this fall.
My reason for informing you regarding this was to tell you that I would no longer be continuing with you and the company. I cannot tell you just how disheartening it is for me to make this decision, and I hope I can come back and work with you in the future.
Thank you in advance for your kind wishes. Regards.

Resignation Letter due to Broken Leg

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that I will not be continuing with you henceforth. This unfortunate decision is the result of the recent accident, in which I was involved. I have broken my leg completely, which makes it difficult for me to navigate through my daily tasks.
I was told to keep up with my daily routine and not to fall into complacency, which is why I was determined to come to work. However, I now feel that it is impossible for me to navigate through my daily routine without feeling like a burden.
Please do not get me wrong, my colleagues have been nothing but great help. But I feel that I am becoming a hindrance.
Please consider this my month’s notice. It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the news of my resignation. I have been very lucky to work with an excellent boss like you.
Thank you for all that you have done for me.
